Austin Friesen

Austin Friesen is an experienced event specialist currently working at the University of Calgary since November 2024. Prior to this role, Austin held the position of Supervisor of Engagement and Events at Cougars Athletics and Recreation, Mount Royal University, from March 2022 to November 2024, where responsibilities included planning and managing department events and budgets. Austin's background includes significant contributions to Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation, serving as Game Day Director for Calgary Hitmen home games and collaborating with the marketing department for promotions with the Calgary Flames and Hitmen. Past roles also include positions with the Western Hockey League, Saskatoon Blades Hockey Club, and The Home Depot Canada.
