Christian Jacob

Christian Jacob is a Professor at the University of Calgary since January 1999, with a focus on managing the LINDSAY Virtual Human project across various faculties. Jacob has served as Professor & Head in both the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, and held the role of Associate Head for Research & Strategic Planning, leading scholarly research initiatives. Jacob has experience as Director of Bioinformatics, where responsibilities included curriculum design and mentoring within the Bachelor of Health Sciences program. Prior to joining the University of Calgary, Jacob was an Assistant Professor at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and served as Chief Scientific Officer and Founder of Wellness Computational Ltd. Jacob holds a Dr.-Ing. degree in Informatics from FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg.
