Leah Nelson Guay

Leah Nelson Guay is the Director of Industry Partnerships at the University of Calgary, having joined in October 2023 to contribute to the establishment of a new Industry Partnership team. Prior to this role, Leah served as the Partnerships Lead for the Prairies Region at Mitacs from December 2021 to October 2023, focusing on stakeholder relations and economic development in the renewable energy sector. Previous experience includes positions as Senior Advisor in Indigenous & Community Relations at Suncor, Director at Integrated Sustainability, and President at SmartStart Strategic. Leah also held the role of CEO at the First Nations Power Authority and VP Operations at MLTC Resource Development. An educational background includes an MBA in Marketing and Finance and a BSc in Land Use and Environmental Science from the University of Saskatchewan.
