Miguel Zavala serves as the Assistant Dean of Student Services at the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco, since June 2024, and previously held the position of Associate Director of Student Life and Inclusion at Hastings College of the Law since November 2021. Miguel's legal experience includes serving as a Staff Attorney at Centro Legal de la Raza, where representation of low-income tenants in eviction cases was a key responsibility, and as an Associate at Olivier Schreiber & Chao LLP, where various legal documents were drafted. Additional roles include work at Legal Aid at Work, Outten & Golden LLP, the International Human Rights Law Clinic, and the Employment Justice Center, with a focus on labor rights, workplace discrimination, and international legal research. Miguel obtained a Doctor of Law (JD) from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor's degree in Latin American and Latino Studies and Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
