Barry Lam

Barry Lam is a Professor at the University of California, Riverside, and has held the position since July 2022. In addition to this role, Barry serves as Executive Producer and Host at Slate Magazine since July 2019, while also acting as Associate Director for The Marc Sanders Foundation and Executive Producer for Hi-Phi Nation, both since June 2015 and August 2015, respectively. Prior to the current position at UC Riverside, Barry was an Associate Professor at Vassar College from July 2006 until October 2022. Barry Lam earned a Ph.D. in Philosophy from Princeton University between 2001 and 2006, and a BA in Philosophy and English from UC Irvine from 1997 to 2001.
