Christine Mata

Christine Mata, Ph.D., currently serves as Associate Vice Chancellor and Dean of Students at the University of California, Riverside since August 2019. Previously, Christine held the position of Interim Dean of Students and Associate Dean of Students at Humboldt State University from August 2016 to July 2019. Christine's prior roles include Assistant Dean of Students at UCLA, Coordinator of Judicial Affairs and Residence Life Coordinator at Humboldt State University, and Career Counselor and Assistant Hall Director at Michigan State University. Christine also worked as a Site Coordinator at THINK Together early in the career. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Higher Education and Organizational Change and a Master's degree in the same field from UCLA, a Master's degree in Student Affairs Administration from Michigan State University, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Chicano Latino Studies and History from UC Irvine.
