Monica Carson

Monica Carson is a distinguished academic and researcher currently serving as the Director of the UCR Center for Glial-Neuronal Interactions and a Professor of Biomedical Sciences at the University of California, Riverside, where the research focus is on brain-immune interactions and their impact on brain health across the lifespan. Carson has held influential editorial roles, including Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Neuroinflammation and ASN Neuro, and fostered collaboration within the neuroscience community as President of the International Society for Neurochemistry and the American Society for Neurochemistry.
