Taher Bhaijee

Taher Bhaijee is currently a Technical Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Riverside, starting in June 2024, under the guidance of Dr. Monica J. Previously, Taher served as a Public Health Specialist with the Peace Corps in rural Rwanda from May 2015 to July 2017, focusing on maternal and child health and addressing chronic malnutrition. Prior experience includes working as a Public Health Specialist for the City of Riverside, where contributions involved nutrition education and obesity prevention initiatives from January 2014 to March 2015. Earlier roles at the University of California, Riverside, included conducting research in Dr. Venu Reddy's lab on cell identity transitions and serving as a Supplemental Instruction Leader, mentoring premed students in science subjects. Academic qualifications include a Doctor of Medicine degree (expected June 2026), a Master's of Biomedical Science (2022), and a Bachelor's in Biology and History (2013) from the University of California, Riverside.
