Brian Newman

Brian Newman is a seasoned professional in real estate and campus development, currently serving as the Senior Associate Vice Chancellor and Chief Real Estate Officer at the University of California, San Francisco since August 2018. Previously, Brian held multiple leadership roles at Oregon Health and Science University from November 2007 to July 2018, including Vice President and Associate Vice President of Campus Development, as well as Director of Campus Planning and Real Estate. Earlier experience includes positions as a Senior Planner at WSP and as a Metro Councilor, along with serving as a Senior Program Manager for the Congress for the New Urbanism. Brian holds a Master's degree in City and Regional Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, a BA in Political Science from Willamette University, a Graduate Certificate in Real Estate Development from Portland State University, and further education from New York University.
