David Smith

David Smith currently serves as the Associate Dean and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of California, San Francisco's School of Pharmacy since January 2014. In parallel, David has held multiple leadership roles within the San Francisco Department of Public Health since September 2009, including Chief Pharmacy Officer and Director of Pharmacy for Behavioral Health Services, among others. David's previous experience includes a position as a Staff Pharmacist with the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs from July 2008 to September 2018. David earned a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of California, San Francisco, and a Lean "blackbelt" in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Rona Consulting.
