Francesco Sergi

Francesco Sergi is a dedicated medical professional currently serving as a Resident Doctor at the University of California, San Francisco since June 2023. Previously, Francesco co-founded the UCSF Human Rights Cooperative, providing pro-bono forensic evaluations for asylum seekers through the UCSF Health and Human Rights Initiative. With experience as a Volunteer Coordinator at Unidos En Salud, Francesco contributed to COVID-19 screening efforts, training over 200 health professionals, and advocating for increased service access for the Latinx community. Francesco has held leadership roles with the Latino Medical Student Association, facilitated support groups for homeless men, and conducted significant public health research, including work on the needs of immigrants. Educationally, Francesco earned a Master of Public Health from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, a Doctor of Medicine from the UCSF Program in Medical Education-Urban Underserved, and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley.
