Nicholas Dicarlo

Nicholas DiCarlo serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter since August 2022 and has been an Analyst at UCSF's Institute for Health and Aging since July 2014, focusing on research related to the political economies of aging and critical gerontology, with particular emphasis on Social Security, Medicaid, Long Term Care, and the costs of inequality. Previous experience includes roles as a Staff Therapist at The Psychotherapy Institute, a Clinical Social Work Intern at New York Presbyterian Hospital, and a Social Work Intern at the Police Athletic League. Nicholas also has experience as a Canvass Manager for Education Reform Now and as a Field Operations Supervisor with the US Census Bureau. Nicholas holds a BA in Film and Media Studies from Vassar College and a Master of Social Work from Hunter College, with additional education in Chinese Language from Qingdao University.
