Praveen Mummaneni

Praveen Mummaneni, MD, MBA, currently serves as the Secretary for the Scoliosis Research Society and as a Director for the American Board of Neurological Surgery. At the University of California, San Francisco, Praveen holds the positions of Lead Surgeon at UCSF Parnassus Perioperative Services, Joan O'Reilly Distinguished Professor, Vice Chair of the Department of Neurosurgery, and Director of multiple spine-related programs including the Cervical Spine Program and the Minimally Invasive Spine Program. Praveen's leadership experience includes roles such as Vice President of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons and President of both the California Association of Neurological Surgeons and the San Francisco Neurological Society. With a Doctor of Medicine degree from Boston University and an MBA from Stanford University, Praveen has also contributed to the academic field as Editor in Chief of the Journal of Neurosurgery: Spine.
