Shafkat Anwar

Shafkat Anwar, MD, FSCMR, is a distinguished academic and medical professional currently serving as a Professor of Pediatrics and Radiology at the University of California, San Francisco, where Shafkat Anwar also holds titles as Director of the Pediatric Heart Center MRI & 3D+ Programs and Medical Director of the Center for Advanced 3D+ Technologies. Additionally, Shafkat Anwar co-founded and co-directs the UCSF Center for Advanced 3D+ Technologies. Previously, Shafkat Anwar worked as Senior Vice President of Medical Innovation and Consultant at Zeda, and held the position of Cardiology Director of Cardiac MRI at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. Early training includes fellowship experiences at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Cleveland Clinic, as well as a research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. Shafkat Anwar obtained an MD from The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, following a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services from The George Washington University.
