Shireen Javandel

Shireen Javandel serves as the Assistant Director for Operations & Impact at the University of California, San Francisco, where responsibilities include oversight of resource allocation, budgeting, and logistics for the GBHI program. Previously, Shireen held the position of Research Manager, managing local and international protocols related to HIV and cognition. Shireen's experience also encompasses program management at the Spark Program, where operations for workplace apprenticeships were facilitated, and a role as a Biological Laboratory Technician at USDA-ARS, focusing on wheat gluten proteins. Additional experience includes coaching volleyball at various educational institutions and serving as a Student Research Assistant at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. Shireen holds a B.A. in Molecular and Cell Biology with a focus on Neuroscience from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Post Baccalaureate Certificate in Interdisciplinary Medical Sciences from Drexel University.
