Monica H. Lin serves as the Executive Director of the UC Academic Senate at the University of California Office of the President, having held this position since October 2011. In this role, Monica partners with Senate leadership to act as the chief administrative officer and chief policy advisor, overseeing critical academic matters within the University. Prior to this, Monica held various positions including Director of A-G and Transfer Policy Analysis & Coordination, where oversight of academic preparation programs took place, and Director of Academic Preparation and Relations with Schools & Colleges, leading teams to enhance student readiness for UC. Earlier experience includes positions at UCLA Graduate School of Education, UC Berkeley, and Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium, with a focus on research initiatives, student advising, and program coordination. Monica's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Education from UCLA, along with degrees from Harvard and UMass Amherst, complemented by a strong foundation in psychology from Carleton College.
