Yarjan Abdul Samad

Yarjan Abdul Samad currently serves as an Assistant Professor in Aerospace Engineering at Khalifa University since August 2022. Additionally, Yarjan holds the position of Chief Technology Advisor at Levidian since May 2022, focusing on graphene applications in various industries. Yarjan is an Editorial Board Member for Scientific Reports by Nature Publishing Group and has been associated with the University of Cambridge as a Senior Research Associate and Senior Teaching Fellow since July 2019, where work centers on space-based challenges utilizing 2D and layered materials. Previous roles include Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, Research and Teaching Assistant at Khalifa University, and various research positions at internationally recognized institutions, including the University of Tokyo and MIT. Yarjan's educational background includes a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Khalifa University and a Master’s in Materials Science and Engineering from Masdar Institute.
