Bruce Kirkman

Bruce Kirkman is an experienced IT professional currently serving as an Application Support Consultant at the University of Canterbury since October 2025. Prior to this role, Bruce was an IT Specialist and System Administrator at Horizon Energy Group Limited from January 2022 to September 2025. Bruce also has a substantial background in technical support, having worked as a Help Desk Specialist at Lane Neave Lawyers from March 2015 to December 2021 and as a Service Desk Analyst at Lincoln University New Zealand from January 2013 to December 2014. Earlier in the career, Bruce gained experience as a Service Desk Technician at Cyclone Computer Company Limited from March 2005 to January 2012. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Studies and linguistics from the University of Canterbury, along with a Diploma in Automotive Engineering from Southern Institute of Technology and education from Ellesmere College.
