Megan Compton

Megan Compton is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in commercial law, specializing in mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, joint ventures, and company governance. Currently serving as Senior Legal Counsel at the University of Canterbury since April 2022, Megan has held various key positions including Legal Counsel at Seequent and Partner at Anthony Harper. Additionally, Megan has contributed to the sector as a Board Trustee for Te Puna Foundation and as a Board Member for Cholmondeley - Back on the Map. A graduate of the University of Otago with a Bachelor of Laws (LLB)(Hons) and a Bachelor of Science in Genetics, Megan is dedicated to providing pragmatic legal advice that supports clients' business goals across various industries, particularly in manufacturing, export, and tourism.
