Richard Hartshorn

Richard Hartshorn has held the position of Professor of Chemistry at the University of Canterbury since December 1994, also serving as Associate Professor during this tenure. Additionally, Richard Hartshorn has been the Secretary General of the International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry since January 2016, after serving as a member from 1999 to 2013. Academic credentials include a PhD in Chemistry from The Australian National University, obtained between 1986 and 1989, and a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry from the University of Canterbury, which was completed from 1983 to 1985. Richard Hartshorn's foundational education was completed at Christchurch Boys' High School from 1978 to 1982.
