Matias Campos Tejera is an undergraduate student at the University of Central Florida, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering. Currently serving as an Undergraduate Learning Assistant in the Mathematics Assistance and Learning Lab, Matias provides support and instruction in various mathematics courses. As the Director of Research and Development at Next Gen Engineering, Matias oversees technical projects and collaborates closely with leadership. Experience includes work as a Component Engineer for Knights Experimental Rocketry, focusing on the design and evaluation of components for a rocket project aimed at achieving a flight altitude of 10,000-16,000 feet. Matias has also contributed to NASA’s L'SPACE programs, managing projects related to space exploration proposals and serving as a principal thermal engineer for a rover mission to Mars. Additionally, Matias has experience in design and simulation tools through participation in the AIAA competition.
