Mona Shattell

Mona Shattell, PhD, RN, FAAN, currently serves as the Department Chair, Endowed Chair, and Professor at the University of Central Florida since July 2021. Shattell has held various academic leadership roles, including Associate Dean for Faculty Development and Professor at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing and Department Chair at Rush University. Additionally, Shattell has contributed to the field as the Editor of the Journal of Psychosocial Nursing and Mental Health Services since January 2017. Shattell's academic journey includes significant teaching experience in graduate-level courses on research methods, theory, health policy, and ethics. Educational background includes a PhD in Nursing from the University of Tennessee, an MS in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Syracuse University, and a BSN in Nursing from Syracuse University.
