Alison Carr

Alison Carr is an accomplished academic leader in the field of medicine and dentistry, currently serving as Dean of Medicine and Dentistry and Head of Medical School at the University of Central Lancashire since April 2022. Prior experience includes a faculty position at Harvard Medical School and roles such as Associate Dean for Clinical Education at Qatar University College of Medicine, as well as Head of Clinical Education and Director of Postgraduate Education at Plymouth University Peninsula Schools of Medicine and Dentistry. Alison Carr has also held significant positions as a Consultant Paediatric Anaesthetist at Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust and as a senior clinical advisor in various educational programs. Educational qualifications include an MB BS from the University of London, a Masters in Clinical Sciences, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Medical Education from the University of Plymouth, alongside ongoing association with the Royal College of Anaesthetists.
