Dr. Candan Elmer is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of Public Relations and Advertising, currently serving as the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Lead for the School of Business at the University of Central Lancashire since 2008, while also holding positions as a Senior Lecturer and Reviewer. Since January 2018, Dr. Elmer has been an External Examiner at Queen Margaret University. Previous academic experience includes an Assistant Professor role at Istanbul University from January 2006 to April 2009 and a Visiting Professorship at Michigan State University's Eli Broad Graduate School of Management in 2007. Dr. Elmer earned a PhD, MSc, and BA (Hons) in Public Relations and Advertising from Istanbul University, with academic credentials dating back to attendance at TED Zonguldak High School.
