Director Of Business Operations & Residential Leadership at University of Central Missouri

James (Jay) Hicks has a strong background in housing and residential leadership. James (Jay) started their career at the University of Central Missouri in 2005 as a Student Leader and later became a Student Apartment Manager and Summer Housing Assistant. In 2012, they joined Stony Brook University as a Residence Hall Director, where they managed daily operations, supervised staff, responded to crisis situations, and conducted judicial hearings. In 2016, they returned to the University of Central Missouri as an Assistant Director for Resident Leadership and Housing Initiatives. James (Jay) then became the Interim Assistant Director of Housing Operations before being appointed as the Director of Business Operations & Residential Leadership in July 2021.

James (Jay) Hicks attended the University of Central Missouri from 2005 to 2010, where they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree with a focus on Management. Following this, they continued their education at the same university from 2010 to 2012, earning a Master's degree in College Student Personnel Administration with a specialization in Student Affairs and Higher Education Administration.
