Raphael Kopan

Raphael Kopan serves as a Professor and the William K. Schubert Professor of Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center, where leadership roles include directing the Division of Developmental Biology and representing basic science to hospital leadership since July 2013. Previously, Raphael Kopan was the Alan A. and Edith L. Wolff Distinguished Professor at Washington University from 1994 to 2013, and contributed as a consultant on the Scientific Advisory Board for Sigma Aldrich from 1998 to 2008 and for Merck from 2000 to 2008. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Chicago (1985-1990), postdoctoral training at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center (1990-1994), and a M.S. in Zoology from Tel Aviv University (1981-1984).
