Ivana Yang (Verona) is a Professor with Tenure and Vice Chair for Faculty Equity and Advancement at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus since June 2019. In addition to serving in the Department of Medicine and the Department of Epidemiology, Ivana leads a research laboratory focused on integrative omics approaches in pulmonary fibrosis, sarcoidosis, and asthma. Ivana also holds the position of Interim Head of the Division of Biomedical Informatics and Personalized Medicine at the University of Colorado Denver and National Jewish Health, where the research emphasis is on genetics and epigenetics in innate immunity and pulmonary diseases. Previous roles include Assistant Professor and Deputy Director at National Jewish Health, Staff Scientist at NIH, Assistant Research Professor at Duke University, and a postdoctoral fellowship at The Institute for Genomic Research. Ivana obtained a PhD in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a BS in Chemistry from William & Mary.
