Martin Dunn

Dean, College of Engineering, Design and Computing at University of Colorado Denver

Martin Dunn is the current Dean of the College of Engineering, Design and Computing at the University of Colorado Denver. From January 2015 to December 2018, they were Co Director and Professor at the SUTD Digital Manufacturing and Design Center (DManD). Prior to that, they served as the Founding Senior Research Officer and Associate Provost for Research at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) from January 2013 to December 2018.

From January 2011 to December 2013, Dunn was a Program Director at the National Science Foundation. Martin then returned to the University of Colorado Boulder where they served as Professor of Mechanical Engineering, Chair of the Department, and Associate Dean for Research in the College of Engineering from January 1993 to December 2016.

Prior to their academic career, Dunn worked as a design engineer at Boeing from June 1987 to August 1988. Martin then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in solid and structural mechanics at Sandia National Laboratories from August 1992 to August 1993.

Martin Dunn earned a PhD in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington College of Engineering, a Master of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Washington College of Engineering, and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Montana State University-Bozeman.

Martin Dunn reports to Constancio Nakuma, Provost & Executive Vice Chancellor, Academic & Student Affairs.
