George Bollas

George Bollas serves as the Associate Dean for Research and Director of the Pratt & Whitney Institute for Advanced Systems Engineering at the University of Connecticut, where a distinguished career spans over a decade. Bollas holds the Pratt & Whitney Endowed Chair Professorship in Advanced Systems Engineering and has progressed through academic ranks from Assistant Professor to Professor. In addition to current roles, Bollas has contributed as Director of the UTC Institute for Advanced Systems Engineering and worked as a Research Scientist at United Technologies. A recipient of the 2024 Fulbright Scholarship, Bollas's academic background includes a postdoctoral fellowship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
