Lisa McGuire

Lisa McGuire is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in corporate partner relations, public affairs, and government relations. Currently serving as the Associate Director of Corporate Partner Relations at the University of Connecticut's Center for Career Readiness and Life Skills since February 2014, McGuire connects employers with UConn talent and is responsible for creating income-generating opportunities. Prior to this role, McGuire was the Director of Public Affairs at the Connecticut Business & Industry Association, focusing on grassroots initiatives for business influence on public policy. McGuire also held the position of Vice President for Government & Community Relations at People's United Bank, where successful lobbying efforts led to significant tax savings for employers. Early career experiences include staff positions for Congresswoman Nancy Johnson and Senator Lowell Weicker. McGuire earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Connecticut.
