Carol Henderson

Professor Emerita, English And Africana Studies at University of Delaware

Carol Henderson serves as the Vice Provost for Diversity and Inclusion, Chief Diversity Officer, and Adviser to the President at Emory University since August 2019. Prior to this role, Carol Henderson was Vice Provost for Diversity at the University of Delaware from 1995 to July 2019, where responsibilities included serving as a senior advisor to the provost on diversity matters and developing the Institutional Diversity Action Plan. Additionally, Carol Henderson holds the position of Professor Emerita in English and Africana Studies at the University of Delaware. Academic credentials include a Ph.D. in English from the University of California, Riverside, an MA in English from California State University-Dominguez Hills, and a BA in Political Science from UCLA.
