Peter Bothum

Peter Bothum is an accomplished communications professional with extensive experience in media relations and public relations, currently serving as the Director of Media Relations at the University of Delaware since July 2015. Bothum has a proven track record of developing and executing media strategies that align with institutional goals, previously holding positions as Interim Senior Director of External Relations and Media Relations Manager at the university. Prior to this, Bothum worked at the Delaware Economic Development Office as Strategic Communications Manager and as Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator at the Delaware Tourism Office. Their career also includes significant roles at The News Journal Media Group and York Daily Record, where Bothum honed skills in journalism and editorial management. Bothum holds a BA in English/ Journalism from the University of Delaware.
