Alejandra Perez is currently serving as the Community Relations Director at San Ysidro Health since January 2020 and is also an instructor at both the Metropolitan State University of Denver and the University of Denver. At Metropolitan State University, Alejandra teaches courses on Advanced Integrative Practice, Social Policy & Social Justice, Research Methods, and Privilege, Oppression, & Power. Prior experience includes a role as Government Relations Manager at Metropolitan State University, where Alejandra developed a proactive government affairs strategy that successfully advanced the institution's objectives. Alejandra's background also includes working as an Associate at San Diego State University’s Social Policy Institute, contributing to research on Adverse Childhood Experiences, and serving as Director of Public Policy at Cultivando, where policy advocacy strategies were developed. Alejandra holds a Master’s of Social Work with a focus on Macro Practice and Leadership from Metropolitan State University of Denver.
