Margi Vilnay is a Senior Lecturer in Structural Engineering at the University of Dundee, where also serves as the Director of Public Engagement and Outreach for the School of Science and Engineering since January 2020. Previously, Margi held the position of Course Leader for BSc(Hons) Civil Engineering and Lecturer in Structural Engineering at Abertay University from May 2016 to January 2020. Margi's industry experience includes working as a Structural Engineer in the Oil & Gas sector for Atkins, focusing on structural integrity assessments of offshore structures through finite element analysis. In the earlier career, Margi was a Prohitec Researcher in Structural Engineering involved in the EC-funded research group focused on protecting historical buildings, and served as a Teaching Assistant at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology. Margi holds a PhD in Structural Engineering from Heriot-Watt University and has completed both an MSc and BSc in Structural Engineering at Technion - Israel Institute of Technology.
