Stephen Chapman has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and organizations. Stephen started their career in the Royal Air Force (RAF) as a Head of Engineering, where they oversaw the maintenance and operations of a fast jet squadron. Stephen held this role for almost two decades, during which they also served as a Business Analyst/Performance Manager for the CEO Training Group Defence Agency.
After leaving the RAF, Stephen took on various roles in different organizations. Stephen worked as the Head of Business Support Services and Facilities at Defence Equipment and Support, where they managed the delivery of government assets and services for a significant MOD contract. Stephen also worked as a BMS & Logistics Manager at Kier MG, responsible for implementing effective business management systems and accreditation across the public services sector.
Stephen's experience also includes roles at Greater Anglia, where they served as Fleet Manager and was accountable for the maintenance and repair of the Intercity and Rural Fleets. Stephen later joined Defence Equipment & Support (DE&S) as the Fleet Operations Manager for the Tornado GR4 Fast Jet Aircraft, overseeing maintenance, modification, and overhaul activities.
Stephen's most recent work experience was at the University of East Anglia, where they held several roles. Stephen initially served as the Faculty Manager for UEA Medical School, providing strategic and operational leadership in operations, facilities, personnel, and finance. Stephen later became the Head of Faculty Operations and Strategy, responsible for business, finance, operations, and strategy support to the Pro-Vice Chancellor, Deans, and Academic Directors.
In addition to their professional experience, Stephen has also worked freelance, providing training and consulting services in various disciplines such as human factors in aviation, lean and continuous improvement, and balance scorecard development.

Stephen Chapman attended Cranfield University from 1997 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Engineering and Management.
