Prof Dr Hassan Abdalla

Prof Dr Hassan Abdalla currently serves as the Pro Vice-Chancellor and Professor of Sustainable Development & Smart/Future Cities at the University of East London, a position held since October 2011. In addition, Prof Dr Abdalla has previously held the role of Dean of Architecture, Computing and Engineering at the same institution, where responsibilities included academic leadership, budget management, research, consultancy, and enterprising activities. Prior to this, Prof Dr Abdalla worked as a TEF Academic Assessor at HEFCE, served as Dean of the College at the University of Sharjah, UAE, and led the Leicester School of Architecture & Spatial Design at De Montfort University. Educational qualifications include a BEng in Engineering Design from the College of Engineering and a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Design from the Faculty of Engineering.
