Rob Shelby is the vice President for Talent & Community and Chief Inclusion & Equity Officer at the University of Evansville. Prior to this, they were an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the University of Evansville, a Graduate Teaching Fellow at the University of Louisville, and an Adjunct Faculty at Spoon River College. Rob has also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Western Illinois University and as the Director of Student Services at Trinity International University. Rob's previous experience also includes working as a Reliability Engineer at In-Flight Phone Corporation.

Rob Shelby has a PhD in Applied Sociology from the University of Louisville College of Arts & Sciences, a MA in Sociology from Western Illinois University, and a MA in Communication and Culture from Trinity International University. Rob also has a BA in Youth Ministry from Trinity International University. In addition, they are certified as an Intercultural Development Inventory Certified Administrator from IDI, LLC and has a Diversity and Inclusion Certificate from Cornell University.
