Hywel Williams

Hywel Williams is an accomplished academic and professional in the field of data science and environmental intelligence. Currently serving as Co-Director of the Joint Centre of Excellence in Environmental Intelligence at the University of Exeter since June 2011, Williams holds titles including Professor of Environmental Data Science and Associate Professor in Data Science, alongside previous roles as Senior Lecturer and Lecturer in Systems Ecology. Additionally, experience includes a directorship at Social Sensing Ltd and a fellowship at The Alan Turing Institute. Educational qualifications comprise a PhD in Complex Systems from the University of Leeds, along with MSc and BSc degrees in related fields from the University of Sussex and University of Leeds, respectively.
