Tim Williams

Tim Williams is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research, analysis, and management across various sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Exeter, Tim focuses on advancing data science and AI capabilities at the Defence Data Research Centre. Previous roles include Co Director and Analyst at Open Data Services Co-operative, where support was provided to the World Bank's Open Contracting initiative, and Lead for Database Development at Zero Seven Telecom, where Tim designed database systems for business telecoms. Tim has also held academic positions, including Associate Lecturer in Economics at the University of Plymouth, and has contributed to multiple consulting and research projects, notably at KUDU Emerging Markets and The Open University. Tim holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Plymouth and has a strong educational background in economics and geography from the University of Exeter.
