Billy Mitchell

Billy Mitchell is currently an Education and Training Specialist at the University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences since December 2024. In addition, Billy serves as the Food Safety Education and Outreach specialist at Lean&Clean LLC, with experience as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Georgia and SE TOPP Program Manager at Florida Organic Growers. Previous roles include Farms Manager at The Conservation Fund and FSMA Training Coordinator at the National Farmers Union, where responsibility involved planning and teaching various food safety trainings. With a background as Food Safety Campaign Coordinator at GLOBAL GROWERS NETWORK INC and Agronomy Assessor at Footprint Talent, Billy contributed to food safety initiatives and agricultural worker safety. Billy holds a Master's degree in Agriculture, Leadership, Education, and Communication from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies from Bradley University.
