Justin Emslie

Justin Emslie is an accomplished finance professional with extensive experience in accounting and public sector governance. Currently serving as Director of Finance at the University of Fort Hare since April 2020, Justin has successfully maintained an unqualified audit report on IFRS-based financial statements for three consecutive years. Justin's career began as a Chartered Accountant at Emslie & Co, where responsibilities included tax consultancy and financial system oversight across South Africa. In addition to real estate expertise as Principal at Harcourts Advantage, Justin is a founding member and currently a Board Director at Vuma Sikuncede, focusing on public sector finance and governance. Prior roles include tax consultancy at First Contact TAX etc in the UK and directorship at Myriad Accounting, showcasing a diverse skill set in both private and public finance domains. Justin holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Rhodes University and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from the University of KwaZulu-Natal.
