Idris Guessous

Idris Guessous serves as a Professor at the Faculté de médecine at Université de Genève since July 2023 and holds the position of Vice-dean for postgraduate training and professional identity within the same faculty. Currently, Idris functions as the Co-director at the Centre de Médecine de Premier Recours and is an active member of the management committee of Société Suisse de Médecine Interne Générale since 2019. Additionally, Idris serves as Chief Physician in the Department of Primary Care at HUG - Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève, where previous roles include Associate Chief Physician and Head of the Population Epidemiology Unit. In academia, Idris lectures on precision population health and geomedicine at the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Epidemiology from Emory University and various leadership and management training from institutions such as Harvard Business School and Stanford University.
