Dr. Simoon Cannon

Dr. Simoon Cannon is an experienced academic and business leader with a diverse professional background. Currently serving as a Lecturer at The University of Georgia since August 2022, Dr. Cannon also holds positions as Vice Chair for Academic Affairs and Chair of the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion External Advisory Committee on the Board of Trustees at Clarkson University. As the Founder and CEO of Melanina Organics since 2014, Dr. Cannon focuses on consumer products that cater to individuals with sensitive skin, emphasizing the use of organically certified ingredients. Previous roles include Senior Associate at Stillwater Associates LLC, General Manager of Fuel Logistics & Quality Assurance at Delta Air Lines, and a Global Advisor for Fuel Supply Chain & Logistics at ExxonMobil. Educational credentials include a Research Doctorate in Business Administration and Management from Georgia State University, an MBA in Strategic Management from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor's in Chemical Engineering from Clarkson University.
