Jon Segars

Jon Segars is an experienced educator and administrator currently serving as the Director of the Student Veterans Resource Center at The University of Georgia since July 2021. Prior to this role, Segars was the Superintendent of Education for Sylacauga City Schools from July 2018 to July 2021 and worked as a Public School Teacher and Administrator with the Alabama State Department of Education from July 2010 to June 2018. Segars also served as a Military Officer in the US Army from September 1988 until July 2010. Academic credentials include a Doctorate in Adult Education from Auburn University, a Master's in Adult and Continuing Education from Kansas State University, and a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of North Georgia.
