Ruta Abolins

Ruta Abolins has extensive experience in media archiving and management, currently serving as the Director of Media and Peabody Awards Archive at the University of Georgia since 2000. Previously, Ruta worked as a Media Archivist at Brown Media Archives & Peabody Awards Collection from 1998 to 2000, and as an Archivist at the Wisconsin Center for Film & Theater Research between 1990 and 1998. Educationally, Ruta earned a Master of Library and Information Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (1996-1998), a Master of Arts in Popular Culture from Bowling Green State University (1987-1989), and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Filmmaking from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (1981-1986).
