Elsie Effah Kaufmann, PhD, currently serves as Chair of the Ghana Inter-Agency Coordinating Committee for Health Promotion at the Ghana Health Service and is a member of the Board of Trustees for Education Sub Saharan Africa. At the University of Ghana, Elsie Effah Kaufmann holds the positions of Dean of the School of Engineering Sciences, Associate Professor, and Senior Lecturer, among others. Additionally, Elsie Effah Kaufmann founded the Elsie Effah Kaufmann Foundation and has been involved with various councils, including the Ghana Communication Technology University and the Ghana Institution of Engineering. Known for their role as the Quiz Mistress and Moderator for the National Science and Maths Quiz, Elsie Effah Kaufmann also served as President of the Ghana Society of Biomedical Engineers and was a Visiting Professor at the University of Health and Allied Sciences. Elsie Effah Kaufmann's academic credentials include a PhD, MSE, and BSE in Bioengineering from the University of Pennsylvania, complemented by an International Baccalaureate from the United World College of the Atlantic and GCE O'Level in Science from Aburi Girls' Secondary School.
