Mammie Nyamekye Nortey

Mammie Nyamekye Nortey is a seasoned professional currently serving as a Research and Development Officer at the University of Ghana since October 2014, where coordination of the Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property Services Team is a primary responsibility, along with facilitating industry collaboration. Previously, Mammie held roles such as Capacity Development Officer at the Centre for Urban Transportation, where stakeholder engagement in urban transportation was emphasized, and Institutional Development Support Officer at the Ghana Urban Transport Project, contributing to urban passenger transportation growth in Greater Accra and Kumasi. Earlier experience includes working as an Urban Storm Water Specialist with Summit County Soil and Water Conservation District and a Graduate Assistant at the University of Akron, focusing on urban planning and Millennium Development Goals research. Mammie holds a Master of Arts degree in Urban Planning from The University of Akron and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Calvin College, alongside an International Baccalaureate from SOS Hermann Gmeiner International College.
