Derek Moore

Derek Moore is an accomplished academic leader currently serving as Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education, Health & Human Sciences) and Professor of Psychology at the University of Greenwich since January 2018, where significant achievements include enhancing student satisfaction, fostering interdisciplinary teaching and research, and achieving financial sustainability with notable income increases. Prior roles include Professor and Head of the School of Psychology at the University of Surrey, and Professor and Director of the Institute for Research in Child Development at the University of East London, where Derek successfully secured substantial research funding and led influential research initiatives. Derek's educational background includes a PhD in Developmental Psychopathology from UCL, an MSc in Behavioural Statistics from Kings College London, and a BSc(Hons) in Psychology from The Manchester Metropolitan University.
