Peter Robinson

Peter Robinson is an accomplished academic and editor with extensive experience in linguistics and second language acquisition. Currently serving as Editor in Chief at asiatefl.org since March 2025, Peter holds the position of Professor of Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition at Aoyama Gakuin University since 1996. Additionally, Peter has been an associate member at the Center for Applied Research and Outreach on Language and Education at the University of Greenwich since 2013 and serves as a series editor for Routledge's Cognitive Science and Second Language Acquisition. Previous roles include affiliate graduate faculty at the University of Hawaii at Manoa, visiting teaching professorship at the University of Toronto, and a distinguished lecturer at Temple University. Peter's academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from the University of London.
