Ata Makarem has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. From 2020 onwards, Ata served as a Principal Investigator at the Institute of Pharmacy in the Universität Hamburg. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2020, Ata worked at the German Cancer Research Center as a Principal Scientist and later as a Scientist in the Division of Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry. In 2019, Ata also held the position of Scientist in the Division of Radiotherapy and Imaging at The Institute of Cancer Research. In terms of academic roles, Ata was a Teaching Assistant at the Organic Chemistry Institute in the University of Heidelberg from 2012 to 2015. Additionally, between 2016 and 2017, Ata worked as a German Translator at the Mayor's Office for Asylum in Asylkreis Dossenheim. Ata's early professional experience includes a role as a Junior Manager at Pars Oxide Chemical. Currently, Ata is working as a Data Analyst at the University of Mannheim's Business School.
Ata Makarem has a strong educational background in Chemistry. Ata obtained a Bachelor's degree in Pure Chemistry from Shiraz University in 2009. Ata then pursued a Master's degree in Organic Chemistry from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad from 2009 to 2011. Following this, they completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Organic Synthesis and Coordination Chemistry from Heidelberg University in 2015.
